Are you a start-up or a scientist with a great tech solution for the environment, climate change and sustainability and looking for a platform to promote your idea? Submit your idea to IGNITE IDEAS II program and turn it into a reality!
Sponsored by Nestlé Hellas SA with the support of Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin) of the Athens University of Economics and Business, the purpose of the Ignite Ideas Program (II) is to discover innovative startups and scientists with a valuable proposition, a technology or a concept in the wider areas of environment, energy, climate change and sustainability. The program is looking for innovative ideas that:
• Provide a technical or operational solution
• Use cutting-edge technologies that can be implemented in the context of the business environment Nestlé is working in
• Can be implemented in a real working environment
The selected teams will have the opportunity to accelerate their business idea in 3-4 months, by engaging in collaborative projects and gaining access to Nestlé’s network, methodology and support by highly experienced executives. The teams that will reach the final phase of the program will have the opportunity to design and pilot-test their product or service in a real environment (Proof-of-Concept). The program will end up an event, where the participating teams will present their PoCs and the result of their work throughout the program. This might lead to opportunities for the startups to engage in further partnerships.
Innovation has been at the heart of Nestlé Group since its beginning. The inventions of Farine Lactée, the first food for infants, by Henri Nestlé in 1867, the “champagne of waters” or the Perrier water that we all know by Sir John Harmsworth in 1903, Nescafé instant coffee by a team of experts in 1929 and Nespresso by Eric Favre, a Nestlé employee back in 1975, are just some of the milestones that prove that behind every bright idea there is an equally bright mind. Today, the Nestlé Group steadily invests in Research and Development, nutrition science with a passion for quality. Nestlé has the world’s largest private food and nutrition research organization, involving about 5000 people located in more than 30 R&D facilities worldwide. Recognizing and wanting to contribute to the Greek entrepreneurship ecosystem, Nestlé Hellas is running the program “Ignite Ideas”, aiming at identifying innovative ideas with the potential for expansion and support teams to go from idea to reality.
